After two days of exciting football gala in the Ahamansu Electoral Area of the Akan Constituency in the Oti Region, Alijo stars have been crowned champions in a six team gala at the Ahamansu Sports Complex on Thursday, May 20, 2021.
Alijo Stars won by 8 goals to 7 on penalties having played goaless at the finals with Ahamansu Funtu Eleven.
Other participating teams were Ahamansu Network FC, Ahamansu Junction Stars, Ahamansu Paris Stars and Ahamansu Secondariya
The winner ( Alijo Stars ) went home with the goat, a trophy, a ball and a One Hundred and Fifty Cedis (150)
First runners up, Funtu Eleven went home with a football and One Hundred and Fifty Cedis ( 150).
All other teams had One Hundred and Fifty Cedis, (150) as participating rewards.
Assembly Member and organiser of the gala, Hon. Mohammed Haris used the occasion to encourage the youth to embrace communal spirit towards the development of the society.
