Ampem Darkoa Ladies through to CAF Women’s Champions League

Ampem Darkoa Ladies have secured automatic qualification to the 2022 CAF Women Champions League to be staged in Morocco between October and November, 2022.

The Ghana Women Premier League Champions defeated Ivorian side African Sports D’Abidjan 6-5 on penalties after 1-1 draw in regulation time.

The game which went into 30 minutes extra time saw Safiatu Salifu coming in as a substitute to save a penalty to secure the qualifications for the Ghanaian side.

Ampem Darkoa Ladies will play Nigeria’s Bayelsa Queens who defeated Espoir FC of Benin 6-0 in the second semi finals game on Friday September 2,2022 in Yamoussoukro, Ivory Coast.

The two teams who played goalless draw in the final group B fixtures will fight for zonal supremacy as both teams secured qualifications to the second edition of the prestigious Women’s Club football competition.
