Togbe Adom Dake X enstooled as new chief for Gbi Kpoeta

In a distinguished ceremony convened by the Gbi Traditional Council at the Gbi Kpoeta E.P Park in Hohoe on Saturday 25th November 2023, Togbe Adom Dake X assumed the esteemed role of Dufia of Gbi Kpoeta land. Despite inclement weather marked by heavy rainfall, a substantial audience, including traditional leaders, political representatives, and religious figures, gathered to witness this royal event.

Apart from his traditional title, Togbe Adom Dake X, also known as Eric Kosi Adjasi in private life, holds the position of managing partner at ERICK GAINZ, a prominent management consultancy firm based in Accra, Ghana. Addressing the assembly post-coronation, he conveyed his dedication to fostering a prosperous, progressive, and law-abiding community characterized by unity, individual strength, and a steadfast pursuit of economic and socio-cultural development.

The coronation proceedings also featured the introduction of Togbe Adom Dake X’s legacy project, appealing for the support of all Gbi Traditional Council citizens. This initiative, spanning scholarships for underprivileged students and the advancement of economic prospects within the community, underscores his commitment to holistic development.

Simultaneously, the ceremony marked the installation of Togbe Gblahede III, also known as Evans Kwame Afesi in private life, as the Afetorfia of Gbi Kpoeta. Paramount Chief Togbega Gabusu VII, in a forward-looking gesture, encouraged Togbe Adom Dake to leverage his expertise for the overarching progress of the Gbi Traditional Council.

In a notable display of solidarity, Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, the Member of Parliament for North Tongu, representing the Flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress, generously donated Ghc5,000 in support of Togbe Adom Dake’s reign. This gesture exemplifies the collaborative spirit aimed at bolstering the endeavours of the newly enthroned Dufia of Gbi Kpoeta.
