Ghana’s under 20 Coach, Desmond Offei has responded to criticism for withdrawing Abdul Sulemana in the Tuesday, 19th March, 2024 Semifinal Clash against Senegal in the ongoing African Games in Accra.
The talisman was substituted during the second half which the fans were seen not happy and angrily questioning the decision.
At post match press conference, Desmond provides reason for the substitution was necessary due to the Ramadan fast. “He has fasted the whole day and you know we are in Ramadan. it is necessary so that he can rest”
Ghana scored the only goal of the match in 84th minute through Michael Ephson to book a slot in the final.
The Black Satellites are hoping to beat Uganda on Friday 22nd March, 2024 at Accra Sports Stadium at 8:30pm (20:30GMT) to earn the bragging right.
