Ghana came from behind to beat their old west African rival, Nigeria by 2-1 in a thrilling encounter at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium to saw them being crown champions.
Goalkeeping mistake by Afi Amenyeku gave Nigerians the lead in the 24th minute through a tap in from Loveth Edeh. Ghana Leveled in the 78th minute through Tracy Twum to renewed the hope for the host until the end of regular time of 90 minutes pushing the match to extra time.
99th minute powerful right footed strike from Mukaram Abdulai handed Ghana the victory to unseat the champions from Rabat.
The match ended 2-1 in favour of the host nation, Ghana.
The black satellites will also be in action for gold tomorrow, 22nd March, 2024 at the Accra Sports Stadium at 8:30pm
