Africa matters donates to Hodzo-Ve M.A Basic School

A non-governmental organization, Africa matters through their 2024 year initiative has donated assorted drinks and text books to Hodzo-Ve MA Basic School on Tuesday April 23, 2024.

The organization led by Precious Ankude stated that their visit was a promise fulfilled mission as the school made a request for text books to compliment the works of teachers in the school.

Speaking on behalf of the Africa Matters team, Godsway Agetor said their donation was as result of the request made by the school.

“You told us about your grievances , and in our own small way, we decided to go to the market to get some of the books for the teachers to use for the pupils of the school. I think we have some English Language, Computing, Creative Arts and other books.”

He continued to encourage learners to learn so they become change makers in their community.

The headteacher Fred Avakame thanked the team for their gifts and showed much appreciation for the kind gesture.
“On behalf of the PTA, my colleague teachers, and the learners I want to say a big thank you for these materials you brought to us especially the text books.They will go a long way to help us.I want to thank all the donors and all who contributed for the success of this programme.”

The team went on to take the girls and boys through the making of reusable pads.

Miss Charlotte Ohene who led the session, urged the learners to use the reusable pads so they can cut cost and safe the environment as well.

The learners also took keen interest in the art and produced some hand made reusable sanitary pads.
