Starlets failed to progress to final of WAFU B qualifiers

The Black Starlets of Ghana were handed a 2-1 defeat in the semi final clash with Burkina Faso in the Ongoing WAFU zone B qualifiers at University of Ghana Sports Stadium on Saturday May 25,2024.

Burkina Faso took the lead in the 13th minutes through Asharaf Tapsoba before Joseph Narbi levelled the score line in the 26th minute to go on the break with 1-1 result. Asharaf Tapsoba got his second goal in the 48th minute to give Burkina Faso a 2-1 lead.

Ghana will play 3rd place play-off against either Nigeria or Ivory Coast on Tuesday at 15:00hours GMT at University of Ghana Sports Stadium.
