Paris 2024: Athletes To Swim In River Despite Health Concerns

River Seine will host the triathlon competition on Wednesday 31st July, 2024 despite reports that, the river got polluted after the spectacular opening ceremony.

Prior to the start of the Olympics, French government spent over $1.5 billion cleaning the River Seine for some events including the opening ceremony and triathlon.

However, the excess downpour over the weekend caused dimbres back into the river making it unsafe for swimming. expects say, E.coli level of the water has risen making it unsafe for swimming causing training of triathletes to be cancelled twice.

E.coli is bacteria that causes severe bloody diarrhea meningitis and urinary tract infection among other health conditions.

However, the athletes will swim in the river Wednesday, 31st July, 2024 despite health concerns.
