Christian Chibueze, the newly appointed Head Coach of Nukunu FC, has set out his vision for the club in his first media appearance since taking charge. Speaking to Ex TV, the man nicknamed “Mourinho” outlined a roadmap he believes will transform the team into a competitive force both on and off the pitch.
“I’m excited to join Nukunu FC as the head coach and I’m looking forward to working with the players, staff, and fans to achieve great things,” Chibueze said.
The coach’s blueprint rests on five pillars:

Player development: sharpening skills and raising fitness levels.
Playing style: implementing an attractive yet effective system of football.
Competitiveness: building a squad capable of challenging for top honors.
Community engagement: strengthening ties with fans and ensuring Nukunu FC remains a proud representative of the region.
Chibueze stressed his commitment to hard work and focus, pledging to push his squad to reach its potential.

Nukunu FC competes in the Southern Sector A of the Volta Regional Football Association Division Two League, where the battle for promotion is always fierce. The club is led by President Eric Edem Agbana, Member of Parliament for Ketu North, who has been vocal about his ambition to see the team rise through the divisions.
With a two-year renewable contract and the backing of both the club’s leadership and its passionate supporters, Chibueze’s next steps on the training ground will be closely watched. The challenge now lies in turning those bold ambitions into results on the field.
The Division Two League is set to commence in October 2025.
