Ho Municipal Education Directorate has observed the international day for the girl child education on October 14 , 2025 in Ho , Volta Region.
The event which took place at the saint Francis of Assisi Catholic church was graced by the Member of Parliament for Ho Central, Hon Edem Kofi Kpotosu.
The honourable Member of Parliament in his speech urged the young girls to report any sexual harassment issue to the police.
“If anyone tried to sexually harass you, go to the police and also go to the hospital for examination. I will pay for the test.”
Hon. Kpotosu also advised the girls to be up and doing and as well believe in themselves.
“Be up and doing and believe in yourselves because you are the future leaders, innovators and change makers in this world.”
Speaking at the event,the Municipal Education Director, Dr. Esther Agyemang-Yeboah advised the girls to report any sexual violence case they confront.
” Do not be timid , report any sexual violence issue that you may confront to your parents or anyone you trust in the community”.
The day which was observed on the theme; “The girl I am , the change I lead, girl on the forefront of cruise” was graced by the municipal girl child coordinator, Miss Geni Idam , Dr. Laura Ama Karbi-Soglo and Warrant Officer 2 , Miss Ametame Pearl.
