Ho Central MP offers financial support to 58 EPUC students

The Member of Parliament for Ho Central, Hon. Benjamin Kpodo has presented a cheque of Twenty Nine Thousand Cedis (29,000.00) to support 58 students of Evangelical Presbyterian University College, Ho.

Presenting the cheque to Ag. Registrar, Obed Adom Friday October 30, 2020, the lawmaker said he wished he could do more to each individual student but the huge numbers looking for support meant he had to share the cake equitably.

“I pay for many students in Legon, KNUST, UCC, UEW, Jackson Education and Ho Technical University so we all have to manage”

According to the MP, he has supported students to about 85,000. An amount more than the 67,000 he received as part of his common fund.

Recounting how he used to work on farms during holidays as a teacher trainee, he asked the beneficiaries to work harder to settle their fees.

Some beneficiaries who spoke to Ex TV news were thankful to the MP.

According to a female beneficiary, “I also tried my luck last semester and thankfully I had 500. Nothing is too small. I can only be grateful to God that the MP has supported me.”

After serving two terms, the MP is seeking the mandate of the people on December 7, 2020 to return to parliament.
