Selase Ken Bannor appointed member of the VRFA referees appointment committee

A member of Ex TV production crew, Selase Ken Bannor appointed member of the Volta Regional Football Association’s Referees Appointment Committee.

The custom officer has been one of the finest centre referees in the region and will serve alongside Shine Ayitey and Alfred Aggrah under the chairmanship of retired Referee, Andrew Tamakloe, who is also an experienced Ghana Premier League Match Commissioner.

The four member committee has been tasked to perform six duties for their term on the committee.
Below are the duties:
a. To appoint referees for matches organized or sanctioned by the Volta FA.

b. To study match reports and make recommendations to the Executive Council of the Volta FA.

c. To nominate candidates for the national league list who are eligible for official national matches. i.e. Division One League (DOL), Women’s Premier League(WPL), and Ghana Premier League (GPL) according to GFA Regulations.

d. To approve the Referee for the Volta FA as established by the GFA.

e. To recommend the suspension of referees found guilty of serious misconduct in view of the laws of the game.

f. To comply with standard refereeing methods and ensure strict compliance with the provisions of the Regulations on the Organisation of Refereeing in accordance with GFA Referees regulation.
