The Confederation of African Football has confirmed eight qualified teams for the third edition of the Caf women’s champions league.
The continent’s women’s topflight championship will take place in Abidjan, Ivory Coast.
The championship is set to kick off from the 5th of November to the 19th of November, 2023.
Below is how the teams progressed:
Athlético FC d'Abidjan (hosts) for the first time qualified after winning the 2022–23 Ivory Coast Women's Championship.
Morocco ‘s AS FAR will defend the title as winners of the 2022 CAF Women’s Champions League winners .They entered into the competition for the 3rd time in the history of the championship.
SC Casablanca from Morocco also qualified as debutants after winning the 2023 CAF Women’s Champions League UNAF Qualifiers.
AS Mandé are in their 2nd attempt in the championship’s history.
AS Mandé will this year take part as champions of the 2023 CAF Women's Champions League WAFU Zone A qualifiers.
Ghana ‘s Ampem Darkoa qualified over Delta Queens of Nigeria as winners of 2023 CAF Women’s Champions League WAFU Zone B qualifiers as they made their first appearance in the main tournament.
JKT Queens 2023 of Tanzania progressed as champions of CECAFA Qualifiers entering the competition for the 1st time.
Equatorial Guinea’s Huracanes also qualified to the 2023 CAF Women’s Champions League as champions of the UNIFFAC Qualifiers.They are also in as debutants of the championship.
Champions of the maiden edition, Mamelodi Sundowns qualified to the 2023 CAF Women’s Champions League as COSAFA Qualifiers Champions making a record of 3 appearances.
