CAF announces prize money for maiden African Football League

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has officially announced $4,000,000 prize money for the winner of the maiden African Football League.

The league which is scheduled to take place in Dar es Salaam,Tanzania will have eight clubs fighting for the ultimate prize money from October 20,2023.

The clubs to take part in the maiden league competition include Simba SC (Tanzania) Al Ahly SC (Egypt) and Enyimba FC (Nigeria) and Wydad AC (Morocco).
The rest include Mamelodi Sundowns FC from South Africa, TP Mazembe, DR Congo, Espérance Sportive de Tunis (Tunisia), and Atlético Petróleos de Luanda from Angola.

Below is the breakdown of the prize money for the league:

The Winner: $4,000,000

The Runner-up: $3,000,000

Semi-finalists (each): $1,700,000

Quarter-finalists (each): $1,000,000
