Ghana Earns 3 Nominations in the Women’s Category for CAF Awards

The Confederation of African Football(CAF) has announced its shortlisted nominees for the women’s category for the CAF Awards 2023, and Ghana had 3 nominations.
Despite Ghana missing from the prestigious Player of The Year nominee list, Ampem Darkoa Ladies FC’s sensational defender, Comfort Yeboah have been nominated for Interclub Player of The Year and Young Player of The Year categories.

The young star has been instrumental in Ampem Darkoa’s set up in the Malta Guinness Women Premier League and the Women FA cup for the year under review.

Ampem Darkoa also earned nomination as the club of the year after winning the Malta Guinness Women Premier League for 2022/2023 season and also emerging CAF WAFU Zone B Champions.

The winner of each category will be decided after votes from a panel consisting of CAF Technical Committee, media professionals from Member Associations, Head Coaches & Captains of Member Associations and clubs involved in the group stages of the Interclub competitions.

The awards ceremony will be held at the Palais des Congrès, Movenpick, Marrakech, Morocco on the 11th of December, 2023.
