Eleven local players have been named in Chris Hughton’s 55-man provisional squad ahead of the TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations Cote D’Ivoire 2023.
The squad which will be pruned for the final 25 man squad will see the players in the Ghana Premier league fight for a place in the final squad.
The eleven home based players are Emmanuel Antwi (Accra Great Olympics),
Jonathan Sowah (Medeama SC),Derrick Fordjoir (Medeama SC) and Felix Kyei (Medeama SC).
The rest include John Duku Antwi (Medeama SC),Godfred Kingsley (Medeama SC),Richmond Lamptey (Kumasi Asante Kotoko SC).
Others are Benjamin Asare (Accra Great Olympics),Razak Simpson (Nations FC),Hamidu Abdul Fatawu(Medeama SC) and Abdulai Nurudeen (Medeama SC).
The Africa Cup of Nations Cote D’Ivoire 2023 is scheduled to kick off on Saturday, January 13 to Sunday, February 11, 2024.
