Cape Verde beat Ghana in AFCON group B opener on Sunday, January 14, 2024

Cape Verde beat the Black Stars in the ongoing AFCON 2023 group B opener at the Felix Houphouet-Boigny stadium on Sunday, January 14, 2024.
The Blue Sharks opened the score on the 17th minutes by Jamiro Monteiro.
The Black Stars leveled on the 56th minutes through Alexander Djiku’s header.

Cape Verde came back into the game to pick all three points in the additional time through a simple placement by 33 years old Garry Rodriguez.

Cape Verde now top the group with 3 points after Egypt and Mozambique went for a 2-2 draw.
