After a week of games, fans are beginning to show interest in the medal table even though some of the games are demonstration sports and others are Olympic qualifiers.
Egypt is running the show in medal categories with 66 medals comprising 36 gold Medals, 14 Silver medals and 16 Bronze medals occupying the first position. Followed in the second place is Algeria with total of 39 medals, 8 gold, 15 Silver and 16 Bronze. South African and Nigeria followed with total of 28 and 26 medals respectively.
The host, Ghana is placing 10th on the Medal table with 1 gold and 3 Silver medals making 4 medals in total.
