Mr. Sampson Mensah, Manager of Total Filling Station at Kpando in the Kpando District of the Volta Region, on Friday, March 13, 2020, made a donation to Kpando Heart of Lions.
5 and 10 packs of BelAqua mineral water and Active Lite respectively were donated to the team at its club house by Mr. Mensah.
According to Mr. Mensah, he was touched by the performances of the Kpando based club in the ongoing National Division One League (DOL).
In a short speech, he said, “I felt touched by your performances in the league and I wanted to appreciate you. Your efforts will not be left unnoticeable. This is just the beginning of better things to come.”
He has also called on other benevolent individuals and organizations in the region to come on board and give support to the team to help them qualify to the Ghana Premier League next season.
Gabriel Nudakpa, captain of the team, after receiving the items, spoke on behalf of the team, and thanked Mr. Mensah for the kind gesture.He promised the team will continue with their good form to achieve the club’s aim.
Heart of Lions next play Accra Lions FC at Kpando. They currently occupy the second position with 24 points on the DOL Zone 3 table behind Vision FC who sits top with 25.
