A non governmental organisation, Narayan Support System has ended a two day breast and cervical cancer screening exercise in Nkwanta.
Over Three Hundred women benefitted from the exercise on July 9 and 10 at the St. Joseph Hospital.
According to Founder/Executive Director, Mr Narayana Osei-Nyarko, the purpose of the screening was to help women within the municipality to know their status and also help prevent cancer which once killed his grandmother.
He also promised to build a clinic in Odomi. ” It is my dream to build an ultra modern cancer clinic in Odomi, where my late grandma hails from in her honour. This clinic will operate as a charity when completed”
The administrator of the St. Joseph Hospital, Rev. Sister Georgina Quayson said the hospital is always opened for such collaborations that will reduce financial burdens of patients.
