Africa World Airlines speaks on Commercial Flight operations to Ho

Five months after its test flight to Ho, Africa World Airlines (AWA) is yet to decide on when to fly passengers to and fro Ho.

The April 15, 2021 test has kept many asking when the airline would start operation, having earlier stated, that it would make public its decision by June this year.

In an email response to Ex TV on Wednesday September 22, 2021, signed by an official who identified herself as Patricia, the Airlines says plans for operation are yet to be made and that, once the decision is taken on commencement of commercial flights to Ho, the public would be duly informed.



Africa World Airlines is a privately owned airline incorporated on the 15th of November 2010. It commenced its first revenue flight on the 21st of September 2012.

AWA currently operates in five cities in Ghana; namely Accra, Kumasi, Tamale, Takoradi and Wa. AWA also serves Lagos and Abuja in Nigeria, Monrovia in Liberia as well as Freetown in Sierra Leone.

Completed in 2017, the US$25 million Ho Airport is lying fallow.
