The Volta regional Football Association’s (VRFA) FA Cup Organising Committee has announced dates and venues for the FA Cup Round of 64 games.
The games are scheduled for Saturday 26 & Sunday 27, March, 2022.
On Saturday March 26, Volta Rangers FC will welcome Avatime FC to the Ho Sports Stadium, while Sons of Thunder FC lock horns with Young Desert FC at the Krachi Henkel park.
Other games will be played the following day, with the top liner, which sees Maranatha FC take on Home Stars FC at the Dzemeni Tongor School Park again in a space of 8 days, after the home sides 2-3 defeat to Afeloto lads.
Nugata FC at the Akatsi RC School Park welcomes Heritage FC from Dzodze.
Young Dragons FC and Galaxy FC in Southern Sector A Zone B and Southern Sector B Zone B respectively are lucky enough to draw stand bye to the next round (round 32).
Round of 64 promises to be exciting as this is the maiden edition of the competition, and the first to be organized by any regional football association (RFA) in Ghana.
Winners from the round of 64 stage of the competition will advance to the next stage of the competition.
The draw by the RFA was done with clubs within the existing 8 zones of the current regional Division Two League playing a one off game to progress to the round of 32.
