Euphoria keeps raising, tension keeps mounting and the debate won’t stop as the world cup play-off matchday between Ghana and their biggest rival in Africa football, Nigeria is getting more closer as many stakeholders are also preparing towards what is termed the “Much talk about feature” among the five play-off matches in the continent.
Media is one of the stakeholders that can not be written off when it comes to the game as always, media houses and journalists needs accreditation to cover matches and it must be applied for per CAF and FIFA rule.
Speaking to Evans Mensah on PM Express, the spokeperson of Ghana Football Association, Mr. Henry Asante Twum disclosed that international communities and media are most interested in the Ghana versus Nigeria clash as compared to other play-off matches in African.
“As at now, the GFA have received 715 applications for accreditation. Most of the international media such as Al-jazeera, CNN, FIFA football and the likes are interested in match”
There are many International sports and media in town shooting videos, they will shoot the match later which they will use for documentary.”
The match is scheduled to be played on 25th March, 2022 at 7:30pm local time at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi, and the return leg will be played on 29th March, 2022 and the winner over the two legged ties book a spot to join other 31 countries for the world biggest football tournament, FIFA World Cup in Qatar, which is slated to begin 21st November and end on the 18th December 2022.
