The Vice-Chancellor of Ho Technical University (HTU), Prof. Ben Q. Honyenuga, is leading the University’s delegation at the 2025 Annual Conference of the Association of Technical Universities and Polytechnics in Africa (ATUPA), underway in Durban, South Africa.
The five-day conference, running from August 25–29, is being held under the theme “Empowering Africa through TVET: Driving Sustainable Development, Youth Empowerment, and Economic Integration in the Era of Industry 4.0.”
Prof. Honyenuga is joined by HTU’s Registrar, Dr. Christopher K. Amehoe; Director of Finance, Mr. Augustine Owusu; Dean of International Programmes, Prof. Eli Atatsi; and Gender Affairs Officer, Dr. Liticia Effah-Manu.
On the sidelines of the event, the Vice-Chancellor held strategic talks with his counterpart from the University of South Africa (UNISA), Prof. Puleng Lenkabula. Their discussions focused on strengthening collaboration in capacity building, joint research, and innovation — priorities aligned with the African Union’s vision for higher education and continental development.
HTU’s participation in the ATUPA conference underscores the University’s commitment to positioning Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) at the heart of Africa’s transformation agenda.
