President Mahama Nominates 15 Envoys for Diplomatic Missions

The President of the Republic of Ghana, John Mahama has nominated fifteen distinguished individuals for appointment as Ambassadors, High Commissioners, and Consul-General designates to various countries across the globe.

In a letter signed by Dr. Callistus Mahama, Secretary to the President, and addressed to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, the nominees were listed alongside their respective diplomatic postings.

Among the high-profile nominees are Benjamin A. Quashie for South Africa, Kojo Bonsu for China, and Kulsoume Sinare Baffoe for Spain. Others include Hammed Rashid Tunde Ali for the United Arab Emirates, Hon. Captain George Kofi Nfojoh, former Ho MP & MCE for Togo, and Grace El Mahmoud Marabe for the UAE – Dubai.

Academics and seasoned professionals also made the list, with Prof. Ohene Adjei heading to Germany, Prof. Kwasi Obiri-Danso to India, and Dora Francisca Edu-Buandoh, Ph.D., designated for Canada.

The full list spans assignments to Turkey, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Equatorial Guinea, Brazil, and Senegal.

The Secretary to the President instructed the Foreign Affairs Ministry to expedite the necessary processes to facilitate the appointments.

These new envoys are expected to strengthen Ghana’s diplomatic ties and promote the country’s interests abroad.
